Job Description

Job Title: Event Operations Manager


Reports to: Head of Sales & Events


Introduction to Wild by Tart:

Wild by Tart is a much loved and lauded neighbourhood restaurant, bar, events space, photography studio and retail store set within a beautiful industrial space – a 9,000 sq. ft former power station and coal store.


Events are an integral part of Wild by Tart, where we host an incredible variety of occasions; from intimate fashion press dinners for 15, to 350-person product launches, weddings, celebrations, and photography shoots.


Aim:

·      Working closely with the Head of Sales & Events to ensure operational excellence on all events, internally and externally

·      Day to day running and profitability of the events internally and externally

·      Managing events of all sizes, from point of contract through to event execution

·      Work alongside and support the Events Team to ensure seamless delivery of events

·      Maintain product and service standards to ensure outstanding guest experiences

·      Build and develop meaningful client relationships to ensure repeat business and maintain a positive brand image

·      Co-ordinating and working closely with the BOH team to achieve seamlessly run events and menus


Key responsibilities:


Planning


·      Ensure all events are planned to high standards and according Wild by Tart’s brand guidelines

·      Working with both front of house and back of house teams to ensure the smooth end to end running of events

·      Provide a personalised guest experience, strong selling skills and in-depth product knowledge

·      Manage multiple events at the same time

·      Hands on wherever possible with all manner of events

·      Liaise with Line Managers to build sales, analyse and report on events to develop business

·      Carry out post event follow up calls to guests to build guest relations, improve service and support other booking opportunities


Events Administration

·      Preparing appropriate documentation for events, including but not limited to, schedule sheets, F&B job sheets, floor plans and staff briefing sheets.

·      Booking and managing FOH staff for all events

·      Organising the booking of external staff such as security and facilities staff through preferred partners.


Finance

·      Maximise revenue - working to budgets and targets while maintaining agreed service standards


Health and Safety

·      Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene

·      Understand all fire, first aid and accident procedures

·      Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and the team

·      Maintain clean and tidy-working areas


KPIs

·      Record average revenue per event

·      % of event days v total year working days

What we look for:

·      Minimum 3 years’ experience in events

·      Fluency in English, written and spoken

·      Excellent written skills and ability to write personable, persuasive and professional emails

·      Able to work on own initiative and self-motivated

·      Meticulous organisation and attention to detail, able to prioritise a demanding workload

·      Excellent communication skills

·      Level-headed and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable

·      Ability to work flexibly under pressure

·      A passion for great food, service and people
