Key Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will work with the Marketing Director to plan and execute engaging, customer led events across all three brands – BOX, Banyan and Manahatta. In particular you’ll be working on themed bottomless and dine/dance events inspired by popular movies, music artists and trending entertainment and sport led occasions. Sitting within the Marketing function you will work with the wider team to brief and activate your events through all Marketing channels including in site media, email, website, PR and social media. In this role you will,

·        Report directly into the Marketing Director.

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to plan and co-ordinate large internal and external events at both an individual site and total brand level.

·        Need to understand the customer and business’s needs and objectives in order to identify new event opportunities and build a calendar across the year.

·        Organise and execute regular events, building a calendar of creative and experiential occasions.

·        Build a close relationship with our sites and General Managers and develop an understanding of their technical set up (e.g. AV) so you can support them in the execution of their events.

·        Liaise with DJs, musicians and entertainment suppliers to ensure we deliver a consistent high-quality experience.

·        Build strategic marketing plans for each event, brief channel experts to execute those plans and project manage the timelines to ensure successful delivery and strong event sales.

·        Review all event activity, assess its performance and identify learnings for continuous improvement of the event calendar and to ensure all activity is commercially viable and provides a strong ROI.

·        Regularly monitor competitor event activity to stay ahead of trends and take learnings.

Skills required

 

·        At least 3 years experience of working in an Event Management or similar Marketing role with a good understanding of running events and how to throw incredible parties!

·        Excellent understanding of and passion for Event Management as well as a love for the hospitality industry.

·        Project management capability – juggling challenging workloads and working with multiple stakeholders. You will need to be driven, highly organised and hold others to account to ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time.

·        Creativity and flair – to design truly engaging and fun events that will excite and entertain our customers. You must be able to bring your own innovative event ideas to the table.

·        Must be dynamic and flexible and comfortable working in a fast paced, sometimes pressurised environment. You will occasionally be required to work outside of normal office hours to monitor your events and how they run.

·        Commercial acumen – must be confident in analysing event performance to ensure it provides a return.

·        Great interpersonal skills – must be able to develop relationships with a variety of people across the business, particularly those in our sites and Operations teams.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills – to brief others and write great marketing content for your events

·        Previous experience of working in hospitality or retail would be preferred but is not essential.

A relevant degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business or Communications would be preferred.

This is a 12 month maternity cover contract, ideally starting in May or June 2024.
