Dreamland Event Stock Manager  

Location: Margate  

Rate of pay: £17.50/hr  


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an on-site Event Stock Manager at our newly opened venue, Dreamland, in Margate. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the stock across the site. This role requires a proactive and organized individual to ensure efficient stock ordering, coordination of deliveries, inventory control, and team management on-site. 


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Stock Ordering: 
  • Manage the ordering process to maintain optimal stock levels. 
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. 
  • Coordinate Deliveries: 
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries to the venue. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt of all stock items. 
  • Stock Takes and Control: 
  • Conduct regular stock takes to monitor inventory levels. 
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent losses and discrepancies. 
  • Maintain accurate stock records and report on inventory status. 
  • Organize a Delivery Team - Staff Management: 
  • Recruit, train, and supervise the delivery team. 
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback for improvement. 
  • On-Site Experience: 
  • Ensure all stock is properly managed and stored at event sites. 
  • Address and resolve any on-site issues related to inventory and deliveries. 
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet event requirements. 
  • Forklift License (Preferred): 
  • A forklift license is preferred to assist with the handling and movement of stock. 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. 


 


Qualifications: 


  • Proven experience in stock management in an events environment 
  • Venue, festival or event stock experience is essential 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities. 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing environments. 
  • A forklift license is highly preferred but not mandatory. 
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite. 


Working Conditions: 


  • This position involves working on-site, you must be able to commute to Margate  
  • Requires flexibility to work irregular hours, however it is a Mon-Fri role. 
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
