Job Description

The successful candidate will support the Events Manager and broader Marketing and Communications team, and Business Development Team, with the design and implementation of engaging event and experiential activity to showcase the company’s offering in target markets. Initially, this will predominantly be through in-market roadshows and the delivery of B2B tradeshows, as well as customer and stakeholder events.

Due to the innovative positioning of Volta Trucks, this role doesn’t necessarily require previous automotive experience, but would suit someone who aligns their own personal values with the transparent, progressive, and entrepreneurial brand identity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the project management of events, including vehicle movements, logistics, contractors, engagement with customers, venues, health and safety, budget management, etc.
  • Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of reports, budgets, ROI, and other metrics.
  • Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to produce event assets in line with event objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a project status tracker to enable the team to keep on top of day-to-day activities, and prioritise tasks and resources accordingly.
  • Support and coordinate on event movements of all participants (guests, employees and Executive Management Team).
  • Support regional Marketing and Business Development colleagues through the delivery of on-brand, best-in-class Volta Trucks events and experiences globally.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Business Management, Marketing or Communications.
  • At least one year of broad operational events experience, some of which will have been delivered in a B2B environment.
  • Ability to use your initiative, multi-task and think laterally.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organisational project management skills.
  • Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH is desirable.
  • Ability to speak a second business language is highly desirable.
  • A close alignment and belief in the company’s brand pillars of safety, sustainability and electrification.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Strong ability to support, align and work with other teams, and adaptable and resilient to changes in brief and a fast-paced working environment.
  • Available to travel frequently.
  • Mature, proactive, independent, action-orientated and teamwork spirit. The successful candidate will be self-motivated as the position will be home and office based from Volta Trucks’ offices near Reading or Paris.
