Job Advertisement: Events Manager (Hybrid | London) Position: Events Manager Location: Hybrid (Home-working / London office) Contract Type: Contractor or Part-time (24 hours per week | 0.6 FTE) Term: 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Events Manager to join a leading organisation in green finance. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for sustainability and events management, offering a chance to play a pivotal role in shaping high-impact events that influence the transition to a net-zero and nature-positive economy. The Events Manager will take ownership of a pipeline of events designed to amplify the organisation’s impact and strengthen its network with key funders and stakeholders. You’ll manage all aspects of event planning and execution, from creating event briefs to overseeing production, budgeting, and logistics. The role will involve delivering a mix of intimate funder and senior stakeholder events, as well as high-profile engagements such as London Climate Action Week, New York Climate Week, and COP summits. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end management of events, including concept development, logistics, and post-event evaluation. Manage the production of intimate stakeholder dinners, third-party events, and key international engagements such as COP and DAVOS. Collaborate with the external affairs team to ensure communications and promotional activities are well-coordinated. Develop and maintain an events workflow and tracker to monitor key meetings, participation, and event outcomes. Oversee speaker requests and briefing, ensuring relevant spokespeople are aligned with event objectives. Ensure all events deliver on key objectives and follow up on outcomes and actions. Essential Experience: Proven experience in managing professional and industry-led events, with a focus on sustainability. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle logistics, media, speaker coordination, and audience management for hybrid events. Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects while maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail. Expertise in procuring and briefing high-profile speakers, and creating tailored content for panels, keynotes, and discussions. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, working with a variety of stakeholders across sectors. Experience in multimedia content production for events, including marketing hooks, videos, and other promotional materials. Desirable Experience: Experience in sustainability-related or government events. Familiarity with AV equipment and event technology. Working Arrangements: This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the flexibility to work remotely and occasional in-person meetings in London. The position may also require working outside typical hours on event days.
