Our client is an international fast-paced moving B2C business looking for a smart, experienced and highly motivated commercial & M&A lawyer to join their fast-growing team at this highly successful and rapid growth business. This role is based in central London with travel across Europe.
They are looking for a motivated and highly capable individual, with between 2-4 years PQE, preferably have a short notice period and come with a level of commercial understanding. Reporting to the General Counsel & Head of Legal, you will have an interesting and varied workload encompassing a broad range of legal matters including:
● Working with the business teams to draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
● Work and manage new business legal e-commerce, marketing and online matters.
● Partnering with the active corporate development/M&A team in assessment of M&A strategy and opportunities in an exciting and fast-paced environment.
● Liaising with the General Counsel l and other members of the wider global legal team as well as wider project teams to execute M&A transactions.
● Helping build and manage a framework of policies and guidance to manage commercial issues within the business.
Skills and experience required:
● Qualified as a solicitor in a UK jurisdiction with at least 2/4 years’ post-qualification experience.
● Strong academic background, with training at a reputable UK or international law firm. You might already have some in-house experience, but this isn’t essential.
● Highly organised and able to manage concurrent projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
● Strong communicator, skilled at advising and influencing on complex topics in a direct, commercial manner without jargon or sitting on the fence.
● Willing to work on a broad range of projects, to try new things, and to step outside your legal specialism to help the team.
