About the role
Research is at the heart of our approach, driven by engagement with industry professionals and markets we partner with. The Executive Researcher role is integral to the success of our business and involves proactively identifying and nurturing relationships, interpreting client needs, and creatively devising solutions. You will conduct thorough market mapping and engage with potential candidates and sources through various channels, including phone, VC, and in-person meetings.
Collaborating closely with our team, you will immerse yourself in our specialist markets, ensuring we compliance with our processes, promoting brand awareness, and maintaining our exacting standards.
This role, based in Redhill, Surrey, is integral to our international business's success.
Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:
- engaging our markets, building and nurturing relationships with key industry professionals.
- interpreting our clients' requirements and support the building of creative and innovative solutions.
- research to map out relevant talent markets. Build market knowledge of the landscapes within which we operate and the key individuals therein.
- being an active member of deal-teams – supporting the management and execution of “live” mandates.
- delivering projects focussed on future-state interests – whether by function or geography.
- embracing the power of our Group to generate referrals and recommendations and engage appropriately.
- engaging internal and external stakeholders to produce and share market intelligence concerning current and future state markets.
- marketing initiatives through social media and regular articles, blog posts and/or reports.
- representing Marden and the Conexus Group at industry events.

- be able to hold your own with leaders across a variety of functions, sectors, and cultures. You should not be afraid to communicate openly and honestly with individuals of all levels of seniority – whether on the phone, in writing, or in person.be a people person – someone who demonstrates empathy and understanding as well as interest in how businesses operate and how they fit into market ecosystems.be detail orientated – and relay information accurately, concisely, and persuasively.
- be good at market research, authoring reports and written communication with clients and senior candidates.
- possess 2+ years’ experience within an executive search or talent management environment, e.g. Recruitment Consultant, EA/PA.
- be self-motivated and able to conduct work independently, as well as part of high high-performing team and business.

We offer flexible working arrangements, but not fully remote and you should be prepared to be in the office at least 2 days per week.
