A Software as a Service company in a period of high growth. They're a late-stage startup expanding into new markets on the back of huge successes. They provide software to help smaller companies manage their HR needs effectively, and have recently entered into a new phase of growth and just entered the UK market. They are looking to use the UK as a launchpad to expand into the wider EMEA market.



About The Role


Reporting into the VP, International, the Expansion Manager will play a pivotal role in the company's European expansion. As the company grows into new markets, they'll need to effectively manage that growth with replicable launch models that can be scaled and applied to any new market. This role will take a front seat in developing and applying these models to develop new operations around Europe.


Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with global leadership and expansion teams to effectively roadmap and deliver launches around the EMEA region, setting up and launching fully-functioning operations to tight deadlines.
  • Ensuring that country launches are adequately handed over with a clear transition plan for the relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Assisting in continuously improving and cementing the post-launch infrastructure in new markets.
  • Working closely with legal teams to support launches from a legal perspective.
  • Assisting in the development of an effective framework for expansion, building a model that is scalable and replicable.
  • Roughly 70% of the role is working on new operational launches, the remaining 30% will be improving and revising their existing processes.
  • Building positive relations with local vendors in each country, such as immigration, counsel, and accounting vendors.
  • Meeting tight deadlines and juggling work-streams across multiple countries at a time.



About You


  • At least 4 years' experience in an execution-focused role in operations or expansion. The ideal candidate has experience in launching products or services in other countries.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup which values proactivity and instills the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Experience working for a SaaS or B2B tech company is ideal.
  • Provable project management experience across multiple work-streams.
  • Experience working across multiple countries is important.
  • Proficiency with European languages is preferred but not essential.
  • An understanding of legal processes and regulations is preferential.
