Facade Designer Job In Durham

Lignum are currently working alongside one of the UK's best established facade contractors who, due to their continued success are looking to open a design office in the North East region. My clients are keen to speak with experienced facades designer's looking to take the next step in their career by joining them in this exciting next step of development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design rainscreen cladding systems for various building projects
• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design integration and constructability
• Select appropriate materials and finishes based on aesthetics, performance, and budget constraints
• Perform calculations to determine material quantities and ensure structural integrity
• Prepare technical documents and presentations for client approval
• Stay up-to-date on the latest rainscreen technologies and building codes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in rainscreen design or a similar field
• Proven experience with CAD software for architectural design
• Strong understanding of building envelope systems and construction principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
