Are you a technical expert with a keen eye for detail?


We are seeking two experienced, hands-on Facilities and Maintenance Managers to join our team. With 30 sports and leisure locations across Edinburgh, including 13 swimming pools, your leadership will ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.




You will be responsible for:



  • Managing and developing a team of trades and technical staff, ensuring delivery of maintenance service, conducting performance appraisals, and supporting professional development.

  • Overseeing all planned and reactive maintenance activities. Ensuring they are scheduled and completed in line with current legislation and guidelines.

  • Planning and managing resources, procuring, and managing external contractor services to meet the needs of the business.

  • Communicating the objectives and plans to various stakeholders, including trades contractors, parts suppliers, utility providers, and external auditors.

  • Working closely with Senior Management, Health & Safety, Project teams, Learning & Development, Procurement, Maintenance Team and Mobile Pool Plant Team.




Our ideal candidate will have:



  • HND or equivalent level in a technical/construction field, preferably with a management element (additional experience required if no management element).

  • An in-depth understanding of the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015 (CDM).

  • Demonstratable experience leading a multi-trade maintenance team, planning and resourcing maintenance activities and procuring and managing contractors.

  • Extensive experience in operating in accordance with H&S policies, including conducting risk assessments and ensuring legislative compliance.

  • Exceptional organisational, interpersonal, communication, delegation, and leadership skills. 

  • The ability to engage and connect with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will be based out of Carron Pl, Leith, however, travel between each of our venues will be required using our pool of vans so a driving licence is essential.
