Principal Build Services Engineer
Up to £60,000
Hertfordshire based
2/3 days on site per week

We are working with one of the largest defence companies in the UK, with rapid expansion of their workforce due to new projects and the extension of existing ones
Due to this they are currently building new and upgrading current onsite facilities ranging from testing labs, manufacturing floors and general workplace offices. With this extra work comes a new open position for a Principle Build Services Engineer who can aspect to do the following:
- preparation of major estates maintenance and lifecycle plans
- assessment of the condition of MEP services
- strategic prioritisation of works based on businesses objectives and avoidance of work day obstruction
We are looking for the following expereinces:
- A strong background in building services design and in particular Mechanical engineering, engineering consultancy and the design and specification of Mechanical installations.
- Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering or proven experience
- CEng and Member of CIBSE would be desirable
- Experience in the preparation of scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance and Capital works packages.
- Experienced in the assessment and implementation of energy efficient solutions and standard processes.
- Experienced in assessing M&E asset condition and preparing planned maintenance programmes and the associated financial planning of 5 year maintenance budgets.
- Familiar with the asset management principles of ISO550001.
- Experienced in providing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
- Willingness to act as Senior Authorising Person with responsibility for the Mechanical Safety Rules
