Job Description
Our Client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Family Solicitor to take over an existing caseload with a strong emphasis on Financial Remedy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to head up and further develop our established Family Law Department. This is a permanent position with both full-time and part-time options available.
Key Responsibilities:
Take over and manage an existing caseload, with a primary focus on Financial Remedy cases.
Handle a wide range of family law matters including divorce, child custody, domestic abuse, and cohabitation issues.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear, concise, and empathetic legal advice.
Promote the firm to potential clients and fellow professionals, enhancing the firm's reputation.
Undertake advocacy in Family Court as required, representing clients in various proceedings.
Prepare and present cases confidently, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients
Manage Legal Aid cases efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
Complete necessary documentation and maintain accurate records for Legal Aid clients.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, providing support and sharing expertise.
Contribute to the development and implementation of department strategies and initiatives.
Utilize and maintain a fully automated case management system.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Experience and Skills Requirements
Must be 5/10 years qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
Panel Membership preferred but not essential.
Extensive experience in family law, with a particular emphasis on Financial Remedy.
Proven track record of managing a diverse caseload effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in using IT and fully automated case management systems.
Strong advocacy skills with the ability to represent clients in court.
