Family Lawyer – Retrain Role
North East
Think Legal are working alongside a high street North East practice who are looking for a junior lawyer to join them as a Family Solicitor.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity for a lawyer who has qualified into an area of law, discovered it is not for them, and is looking for a new challenge.
The right candidate should have a genuine interest in wanting to learn and develop as a family lawyer.
Whilst there will be initial support, training and guidance on family law here, the right candidate should be a confident self starter, be commercially aware and want to grow and develop their practice over time.
The role will be based out of the firms South Shields office.
As this is a re-train role and at a high street practice the initial salary will reflect that and will pay up to £28k depending on the experience of the candidate. Salary will be reviewed accordingly once the candidate has picked up the skills and expertise in family work.
Looking at the wider and more long term picture this will be a great opportunity for someone who didn’t get the NQ role they were looking for, and is keen to forge a career path in an area they have a genuine passion for.
Although a junior candidate would be ideal the firm are not averse to more senior lawyers at a point in their careers where they are looking to pivot, it may be someone returning from a period of maternity leave, or after a career break, looking to get into an exciting challenge.
