Salary: £24000£25000 On call Pay Travel allowance of £1200 On call duties 1 day per week i.e. 6am9am or 5pm10pm) £1000 On Call Allowance Reporting to: Compliance and Quality Manager/Deputy Location: Westminster London Schedule: MondayFriday Care setting: Domiciliary Care This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check. Purpose of the role : my client is a wellestablished care provider in London with over 20 years of experience in providing care to the elderly at home. The are looking for a fantastic field care supervisor to support their business who has experience within the sector. You would be responsible for the efficient running of an area and management/ supervision of Care/Support Workers and care provided to Service Users within that area in accordance with systems policies procedures Local Authority policies and CQC regulations. This role will require to step in as a coordinator when necessary assisting Home Care Workers promptly and conducting all business in a friendly courteous and knowledgeable manner. adhering to the company values or respect independence flexibility dignity and choice. Key Responsibilities Responsible to carry out Service User needs assessments care/support plans and risk assessments. Take lead and attend the Service User’s first call to introduce the Care/Support Worker to the Service User. To be responsible for a defined patch area for our clients and building good working relationship with social workers and others health care professionals. To compile client information/carer management actions and report weekly by utilising Key Performance Indictor (KPI forms to monitor the performance and compliance against each patch). Ensure the standards and targets agreed for a weekly deadline are met. To organise and attend Service User reviews including reviewing and updating of needs assessment care/support plan and risk assessment documents To liaise closely with Care Coordinators to ensure correct Service User and Care/Support Worker matching for new Service Users. Ensure there is adequate cover in instances of Holiday/sickness cover. Deputise for Care Coordinators allocate unassigned calls during office hours as required. To allocate all unassigned calls during oncall hours – where visits can’t be assigned undertake the visit To ensure that all changes to care schedules are reported without delay to the Care Coordinator and recorded appropriately. To undertake oncall duties as directed and record/report all oncall activity to the office. Undertake fieldbased training to ensure Care/Support Workers are working within their competency level. To work along with Quality and compliance Manager and ensure quality control procedures and processes are in place. To escalate all complaints and safeguarding investigations to the Quality and compliance Manager. To assess Care/Support Workers again Skills for Care Common Induction Standards during shadow working sessions. Ensure all filing related issues in your patch is completed upon risk assessment face to face review spot check. medication competency and direct filed observation. Qualifications: NVQ level 2 Willing to work towards an NVQ level 3 Willing to work towards supervision and management qualifications as appropriate Experience: Experience of working in a domiciliary care setting preferably as a field care supervisor Undertaking service user needs assessment care and support plans Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CQC) Understanding of on call Provision Working Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements Skills: Good IT skills Good negotiation skills Ability to cope with change Works well under pressure Excellent communication skills What we offer : Progressional opportunities Great on the job support and training Staff events Pension 28 days annual leave including bank holidays Travel allowance £1200 for more information on this position email or call
