Wood is looking to recruit a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineers to work on a Contract (Agency).
Electrical Field Engineer -
Electrical to provide field engineering assistance in the
organisation and execution of all Electrical Construction activities.
The main activities of the team will consist of;
Providing engineering support of all construction and commissioning activities at site which are related to our
designs
Providing engineering support from site to the engineering teams
Agree, communicate and implement authority levels for both Wood and construction contractor
personnel for all electrical activities. Register of personnel authorisations to be maintained
Ensure all quality control checks and tests are instigated, with records maintained and available as required for
equipment installation and testing, electrical installation and testing etc, all in accordance with contractors'
agreed ITP, method statements and project specifications. Where applicable supervise calibration activities
Ensure that contractors and commissioning personnel carry out, witness and record all electrical check
requirements in accordance with the agreed commissioning schedule and all record documentation is
available on a timely basis to facilitate system and equipment handovers and start up
Ensure efficient use of specialist vendor representatives, arranging contractor support and Client witness as
required in accordance with the commissioning handover and start-up schedule
Obey HSSE policy and rules
Resolve assigned all submitted technical queries where possible and sign-off. Send remainder to home office
and drive close out
Send assigned change requests to home office and drive close out
Follow up on assigned information requests and drive close out
Validate approved technical queries/change requests have been incorporated in the field construction and
included in red line drawings document submissions

  • Extensive experience in design, engineering and construction
  • Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals background
  • Refinery/Plant experience

These roles will be based site based in Sweden. The position does not offer a visa, therefore you must have the right to work in the EU.

Skills / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree within the Electrical Engineering field or a BA in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering
  • Certified Engineer desirable
  • Extensive experience in design, engineering and construction
  • Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals background
  • Engineer must be familiar with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC and other International electrical standards, best practices and value practices
  • Be fully familiar with analogue and Digital Control Systems including Power System Automation (PSA), DCS, PLC and SCADA controls
  • Thorough knowledge of the English language is required to perform the necessary in depth analysis and studies, make professional presentations and keep up with technical advancements
  • Have experience with Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) or similar software and all Microsoft office
