Position Overview: As a Field Service Engineer specializing in packaging machinery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our client's packaging equipment with their customers.
You will be responsible for conducting installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery across various client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and test packaging machinery at client sites in accordance with technical specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and performance checks to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues on packaging machinery promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and quality assurance to address operational challenges and optimize equipment performance.
- Provide technical support and training to client personnel on the operation and maintenance of packaging machinery.
- Document service activities, equipment modifications, and repairs accurately for record-keeping purposes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to packaging machinery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in the FMCG/packaging industry or related sectors.
- Specialization in packaging machinery with a strong mechanical or electrical aptitude.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and technical issues on packaging equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours as required.
