Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) supports the full lifecycle of customers' asset from pre-commissioning to decommissioning. We help to reduce future corrosion, improve efficiency and maximize throughput. Our engineered solutions for commissioning, and maintenance shutdowns include specialized services for the oil and gas, power generation, metals and mining.

You will supervise process work scopes of varying sizes and complexity. You will be involved with Nitrogen/Helium leak testing, nitrogen purging, process hydrotesting, pipefreezing and bolting scopes of work. Supervision and operation of nitrogen converters and haskell pumps. ECITB TMJI certification and bolting experience is required.
As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in pre-job briefing and ensure familiarization with the work scope.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the client representative and the Operations Coordinator.
  • Ensuring that operation of equipment is carried out as per the Company's HSE and Operating Procedures.
  • Training junior subordinates on equipment operation, job procedures and safety regulations. Contributing to the process of continuous training and qualification improvement of employees within the department.
  • Monitoring instruments to assure proper flow, pressure and operational conditions.
  • Ensuring that the daily maintenance of equipment is carried out and ensure the equipment is ready for a job at all times.
  • Supervising shifts and work scopes onshore & offshore, ensuring that all operations are carried out as per procedure and as per the Company's HSE and Operating Procedures.
  • Ensuring timely execution of orders, instructions and directions from the Operations Coordinator.

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have valid certification to go offshore in the UK, including OGUK medical and BOSIET (with CA-EBS).
  • Have substantial industry experience. Including Offshore experience and nitrogen/helium leak testing experience.
  • Demonstrate an excellent attitude towards safety. Must participate in all company safety programs and adhere to all policies.
  • Demonstrate Process supervisory experience.
  • Have a Full UK Driving License.
  • Be able to work with little to no supervision and be a natural leader.
