Job Description

Finance & Accounts Manager required. My client is an interior design firm based in Chelsea, Central London, who are seeking a Finance & Accounts Manager to join their dynamic and friendly team to oversee the day-to-day accounting of their studio, on a part-time basis.

The successful application will provide key support in the company, reporting directly to the co-founders, participating in the overall growth and development of the studio.



Finance & Accounts Manager Position Overview


  • Bookkeeping, filing of data and documents, reconciliations
  • Manage cashflow (weekly position, forecast, etc)
  • Accounts receivable; produce invoices, reconcile sales invoices, prepare sales ledger and receivable details
  • Process and manage credit notes, refunds, payment errors
  • Accounts payable; process and pay all bills, prepare accounts payable reports
  • Reconcile bank accounts, cards and petty cash
  • Validate and manage expenses
  • Generate financial reports and present in regular financial meeting: cashflow, P&L, forecast, team costs, projects profitability, etc
  • Process monthly payments of salaries, retainers, expenses and PAYE
  • First point of contact for our external accountant for payroll, VAT, accounts, etc

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an architecture/design/furniture industry, have excellent communication skills and be proficient on various accounting software.



Finance & Accounts Manager Position Requirements


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working in architecture/design/furniture industries
  • Fantastic organisational skills, ability to prioritise and make independent decisions
  • Experience with Mac is essential
  • Experience with Quickbooks would be preferred


Finance & Accounts Manager Position Remuneration


  • Part-time position (24 hours per week)
  • Up to £45,000 basic salary (full-time equivalent)
  • 20 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Standard pension
  • Staff social events

As this is an office-based role, suitable candidates must have a reasonable commute to the office in Chelsea.
