Role Description

As a Retail Finance Administrator, you will be an integral part of our global retail division, working closely with and reporting to the Retail Finance Coordinator. This role entails a wide range of responsibilities, including financial reconciliation, journal entries, intercompany transactions, and assisting with various finance tasks to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. This role is based in London.


Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Manage reconciliation of credit card and FedEx accounts, accurately allocating expenses to respective projects.
  • Process nominal ledger journals in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to the Retail Finance Coordinator in daily operations and tasks.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure agreement between legal entities.
  • Inform finance department of inventory asset transfers between legal entities as required.
  • Facilitate recharges between Neon legal entities in a timely manner.
  • Review open purchase orders and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and verify all required paperwork is attached for payment processing.
  • Raise payments in banking system, handling multi-currency transactions as necessary.
  • Calculate currency trades/transfers between bank accounts to cover payment runs.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Load approved budgets into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system accurately.
  • Generate ad hoc finance reports as requested by management.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a finance administrator.
  • At least 1 year of accounts reconciliation experience
  • Good understanding of balance sheet and nominal journals.
  • Finance qualifications are not essential but considered advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Xero is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Strong numeracy skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Strong initiative, judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
