Job Purpose:
As a Finance Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to provide analytical financial support to the Supply Chain & Operations in our client’s Cramlington plant. You will play a crucial role in ensuring local finance and operational objectives are met while supporting the Plant Controller in maintaining robust budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to maintain cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety as the number one priority
- Cultivate strong relationships with Operations
- Handle ad hoc requests efficiently
- Provide financial analysis and support for the Plant Productivity stream
- Drive loss reporting and support investigating variances as required
- Offer analysis to support cost centre owners’ understanding of variances
- Provide analysis to support SC&Ops with inventory management
- Complete capital reporting and investment appraisals to support AFEs
- Support the completion of the AOP process for Cramlington for MOE, losses, and S,G&A
- Assist in quarterly forecasts
- Ensure accurate statement of costs by completing losses and inventory adjustments accounting for the plant
- Assist in cost centre reviews for month-end close
- Complete month reporting, including losses and savings tracker in Cramlington
- Provide explanations to the SSC to aid in their understanding of Cramlington operations
- Ensure SOX compliance as Process owner for Inventory Controls
- Maintain and report Cramlington cycle count accuracy
- Ensure costs are accounted for by the AD financial handbook
- Support the Plant Controller in identifying and implementing process improvements in operations finance
- Collaborate with SSC/Accenture for process enhancement
- Support the implementation of key BI initiatives across operations in Cramlington
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and participate as necessary in SC&Ops projects and plant strategic planning
- Pursue professional and personal development aligned with the development plan
- Foster collaborative working relationships across the SC&Ops organization in Cramlington
- Support increased use of ELS in the finance function
- Aid in training SC&Ops in EVA concepts and decision-making tools
Experience:
- Educated to degree level and possess a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ICAEW)
- 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in the industry (preferably manufacturing) or a blue-chip accounting firm
- Advanced user of Excel and Google Sheets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Finance environment within a UK manufacturing site of a Multinational organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships
- Must be persuasive/assertive with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Dynamic, proactive, and detail-conscious with a results-driven approach
