Your role:

Finance Process Optimisation

  • Create, analyse, and optimise new financial processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Automate processes to reduce manual intervention and improve operational effectiveness
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Contribute to the annual and half year Budget process.
  • Monitor budget performance, providing insightful analysis in support of decision making
  • Continuous improvement of Budget model to improve accuracy
Financial Reporting
  • Preparation of timely and accurate financial reports for internal / external purposes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standard & regulatory requirements
Cashflow Management
  • Manage cashflow to support day to day operations including flow of funds between the Group
  • Reconciliation of customer payments and funds received from banking partners
  • Implement cash management processes to optimise liquidity
External Partner / Stakeholder Management
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal / external partners and financial institutions
Risk Management
  • Identify financial risks and suggest approaches to mitigate
  • Up to date knowledge of industry developments and regulatory changes to proactively address potential risks
Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with teams and wider Finance team to develop commercial insight
  • Provide training and support to Finance team as required
Process documentation & Governance
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Proactive and able to work independently and drive own agenda
  • Demonstrable ability in analytics and problem solving
  • Clear and effective presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data
  • Ability to influence at all levels throughout organisation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, continually evolving environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage preferable) and Microsoft Excel.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • 3+ years' experience in Finance operations or similar role, preferably in the retail and/ or retail consumer finance industry
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Part qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
