A fast-growing specialist insurance business is looking to bring in a Finance Analyst to assist with the Management Accounting, Accounts Payable function and adhoc finance duties whilst using their data analysis skills to help streamline and improve business operations.

This would suit a part-qualified Accountant with a keen interest or skillset in data and technology who is looking to expand their skillset and knowledge into the digitisation of the modern-era of business.

Responsibilities

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:

This role will support the Finance Manager and Management accountant with month end reporting and will also drive a number of automation projects from our finance system - SAP-Business by Design.

Management Accounts

➢Assist in preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts.

➢Accruals and Prepayments

➢Maintaining and reconciling the General ledger

➢Management Information & Automation

➢Implement feed of data from SAP into Google's looker Data Studio

➢Preparation of Month end reports - e.g. MA Deck, Teams P&L etc.

➢Lead in reports automation

Accounts Payable

➢Maintain accurate and up to date Supplier records.

➢Making timely payments to suppliers

➢Record all invoices and payments into the SAP system

➢Automate the AP process as much as suitable.

Other Tasks

➢Maintain other necessary financial records

➢Assist with Month End closing processes and other Finance ad-hoc tasks

Experience and Knowledge

➢2 - 4 years' work experience in a relevant Finance function

➢Intermediate/ Advanced Excel Knowledge

➢User experience in financial accounting software (SAP or similar)

➢Knowledge of SQL based data warehouse will be an advantage

➢Knowledge of tools such as Google Looker data or Power-BI will be an advantage

Qualification

- Degree in Accounting & Finance or similar or AAT Qualification.

- Part Qualification in CIMA/ ACCA or similar UK Accounting course will be an advantage
