Job Description

Part of the European Finance Team headed by Furrukh Sheikh (European Group FD).  The role sits within the Group Finance team that supports our Enterprise Product and Technology teams, known as CAPTGScope of Role: Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – CAPTG, you will be working within a small team, providing accounting, financial, analytical, and commercial support to the Finance Teams and the Product & Technology leadership teams including:Accounting:Accurate and timely recognition of costs including supporting monthly accruals and prepaymentsAccurate and timely recharging of enterprise costs to business unit P&LsContributing to monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliation processesFinancial Planning and AnalysisMaintain and operate financial modelsPrepare regular and adhoc analysis to provide insight and support decision makingContribute to the monthly forecasting processContribute to the annual business planning cycle (budgets)The role is ideal for a trainee accountant or analyst and will increase in scope, responsibility and exposure to senior management over time.Objectives for Role: Monthly management accounts – leverage existing systems, processes and people to ensure supplier costs are captured and accruals / prepayments maintained appropriatelyMonthly management reporting pack – prepare monthly management accounts pack based on actual performance vs forecast, budget and prior yearMonthly Stakeholder presentations – prepare monthly presentations including regular and ad hoc performance insights for senior management teamsProvide ad hoc support in the preparation of reports, reviews and presentations.Skills, Knowledge and Experience: University graduate with proven high level of academic achievement (BA or equivalent)Good financial acumen (commitment to studying for an appropriate professional qualification) e.g. ACCA, ACA, and CIMAHighly numerate with the ability to analyse data, spot trends and draw conclusionsStrong Excel skills and some familiarity with PowerPointStrong written communication skills with ability to write about complex problems in a logical and concise wayStrong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work with others as part of a teamAbility to work to strict deadlines (including some flexibility on working hours)STRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASEWe work with a carefully selected set of recruitment agencies and we're not looking to add to our PSL.We do not accept unsolicited agency CV's sent to the recruitment team or directly to the hiring manager.
