POSITION: FINANCE ASSISTANT (3 MONTH TEMP)

REPORTS TO: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

DEPARTMENT: FINANCE

We have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our team for 3 months!

Reporting to our Management Accountant, you’ll be providing administrative support to our transactional finance team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or a finance student looking to gain some practical experience this summer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Daily monitoring of the mailbox
  • Process high volume of customer deductions, supplier invoices, allocations, and queries on a timely basis
  • Liaising with the sales teams to quickly resolve sales pricing queries and ensure customer deductions are approved/disputed as required.
  • Liaising with the warehouse team to manage the sales orders/sales return orders and credit memos process
  • Perform reconciliations to support month end process
  • Reviewing pricing and approving sales orders in Business Central
  • Processing Woo Commerce sales receipts and refunds into Business Central
  • Ad hoc tasks as required to assist the Management Accountant and other Finance Assistants.


PERSON SPECIFICATION


  • An ambitious, self-starter
  • Degree educated (finance or related) OR pursuing a degree and seeking an internship role. This role would also potentially suit someone studying AAT or similar.
  • Ideally you would have some experience processing high volumes of transactional activity quickly and accurately.
  • Competency with Excel e.g., experience with SUM and Look up formulae.
  • Pro-active with strong organisational skills and an accurate eye for detail.
  • Can-do attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across the business and with customers.
