Job Description
Our key military veterans charity, is seeking an experienced and qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years’ experience working in a management accounting role.

- The role holder will partner with internal customers across all directorates, providing professional business support to budget holders, ensuring financial control and effective decision making through financial, operational, and business evaluation and analysis.
- Ensure that the Finance function plays an integral role in the achievement of organisational aims and objectives, through the provision of insightful financial analysis and interpretation of financial data.
- Provide a key interface between the Finance function and all other teams on issues relating to financial stewardship, ensuring that there is excellent communication from a financial service perspective.
- Proactively support all directorates through guidance on business and financial planning, forecasting, performance management and making decisions related to the achievement of strategic aims.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities and propose actions that help with making decisions in the best interest of the Fund.
- Build relationships and foster collaborative working within the Finance team and across the Fund.
- Manage one member of staff, the Management Accountant
Knowledge/ Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience working with accounting software and CRM designed for medium to large enterprises, MS Excel and Word
- Experience in developing or maintain finance system application
- Strong data management and analytical skills
