Job Description
This is a 12-month FTC.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial performance and strategic decision-making processes of the Liverpool manufacturing site. Collaborating closely with operational teams, you will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall financial success.
Key Accountabilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in Waste and Labour Efficiency
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis and forecasting
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with site leadership to develop annual budgets and forecasts
- Monitor performance against budget, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions
Cost Management:
- Partner with operational teams to manage and control manufacturing costs effectively
- Identify cost-saving initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement projects
Financial Planning and Strategy:
- Work closely with site managers to align financial plans with overall business strategies
- Provide financial guidance for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and business development
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Establish strong working relationships with operational and functional leaders
- Act as a liaison between finance and operations, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach
- Identify financial risks and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
- Financial background within a food manufacturing environment is essential
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant with intent to continue and complete study
- Strong IT skills, particularly XL and use of accounting systems (Valeo Confectionery on Sage, Valeo Snacks on IFS)
- Full UK driving licence for occasions when travel to other sites is required
