Finance Business Partner – Pricing

  • Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 + bonus


We are working with one of the largest group procurement organisations in the UK, they are looking for an influential and high-profile Business Partner, to oversee one of their biggest contracts. This role is pivotal in supporting the individual business needs to drive profitability and ensure contract governance is met.


A key aspect of the role will be focusing on understanding the contract specifics and working with the team to drive profitability with your acquired knowledge of the finance pricing movements and systems.


We are looking for a finance professional with proven skills of working to tight timelines, who thinks commercially and can provide insight and options from raw data to end-results.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Business Partnering with a Sector of the business ensuring strong data-lead decision-making, managing pricing models, and providing commercial opportunities and solutions.
  • Provide Pricing support to the business in developing, influencing and executing the overall contract.
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Pricing, Procurement, and Sector teams.
  • Work with the wider finance team to continually develop KPIs and ensure that teams are focusing on the right metrics to drive profitability.
  • Management, tracking and finding opportunities to current and future proposed pricing of products/menus and switches.
  • Overall responsibility for forecasting & governance of contract pricing adherence – highlighting and managing risks and opportunities around the achievement of contract requirements.
  • Calculate and manage the financial risks and opportunities arising from volumetric and other contract mechanisms.
  • Ownership of the price file results and reporting of performance against audit requirements
  • Consistently Manage monthly/ quarterly price updates and ensure 100% delivery of results.
  • Preparation and review of monthly management information including in-depth product analysis and underlying performance reporting.
  • Prepare monthly business review pack and present at Sector/client monthly meeting.
  • Delivering initiative-taking ad-hoc financial analysis to support business unit decision-making.
  • Visibility at business head offices to support operators as and when the business requires.


The ideal candidate


  • Experienced commercial analyst with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience of operating within a procurement/food & non-food service / pricing service organisation
  • Highly numerate and analytical, with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in developing and managing complex spreadsheets
  • Proven track record in enhancing business performance and value
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled in concise information analysis and presentation
  • Good working knowledge of SAP / data systems / data manipulation
