Job Description

What we're looking for:

We are looking for someone who will be the Data Steward for Finance and will help us to develop and embed data control and governance across all finance owned applications.

You will have a significant experience of Finance systems, complex integrations and leading change projects. You will bring the technical solution architecture experience across multiple complex systems.

  • Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
  • Experience in driving the successful transition of business change within Finance
  • Partner management skills with good relationships and well balance communication skills across wider Finance and across the DLG business
  • Understanding of change governance and the ability to direct a team to deliver change across a large organisation.
  • Ability to communicate complex problems / solutions in an articulate manner, using data to support your argument and influence partners

What you'll do:

You will guide the future strategic direction of the Finance Data Platform to support the Finance vision and future operating model. You will operate in the capacity as FDP Product Owner to support future FDP development to meet our needs. You will report to the Head of Finance Production Hub

You will also:

  • Design, implement and monitor operating controls over all data elements across Finance
  • Identify and report data deficiencies and oversee necessary remediation activities
  • Create the roadmap for making FDP single version of truth for all finance reporting needs (internal and external)
  • Work with Finance Change and wider DLG partners to ensure future FDP development is aligned to both the Finance and Data strategic vision.
  • Work together with the relevant partners to ensure that the FDP aligns to the wider Finance systems strategy.
  • Ensure any changes follow the Finance Control Framework and ensure proposed changes are compliant with Group Policy and do not adversely affect the risk environment
