Job Description
Our client is an established and reputable global asset manager that has an impressive track-record of growth and which shows no sign of stopping. Now, a new role for a finance lawyer has arisen in this business who will support all investment strategies, focusing on infrastructure debt, but also encompassing real estate and fund financing.
The successful candidate will join a high-calibre team of lawyers who support a dynamic front office of high achievers, and who will:
- Provide primary transactional support on the deal pipeline for investments originated across EMEA;
- Review documentation to facilitate deal approval and execution;
- Support the business on a granular level by dealing with queries from the business teams on legal matters;
- Advise on firm-wide matters such as investment strategy by advising on UK, EU and US regulatory/legal developments.
We are looking for:
- A UK/US/Commonwealth qualified lawyer with at least 2 years’ PQE from a top City firm or relevant in-house team;
- Solid experience in secured lending, ideally infrastructure/project/energy finance, but we are equally open to candidates with a wider scope of experience, such as leveraged finance and/or structured real estate finance and fund finance;
- Technical knowledge and understanding of debt documentation (i.e. term sheets, mandate letters, credit agreements, intercreditor agreements);
- Secondary loan transfer documentation experience is advantageous, but also not a pre-requisite.
