Job Description
This is an integral role in the Orchard UK finance team, supporting the Director of Finance, the rest of the finance team and the wider Orchard UK business. The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional with a can-do attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves and immerse themselves in a fast paced, fun & rewarding environment which also offers excellent exposure to the workings of an international finance department within the music industry.
What you'll do:
- Prepare and record month end postings, review month end journals prepared by Analysts and offshore team, maintain various balance sheet reconciliations and schedules and analyse monthly financial results, including presenting to Director of Finance and reporting to Sony Global Finance.
- Oversee monthly accounts receivable invoicing, twice weekly trade accounts payable payments, monthly client royalty payments, and weekly cash flow analysis.
- Assist with new Finance systems development and integration and process improvement projects.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions and employee travel and expense reports.
- Coordinate year end audit requests and assist to prepare statutory accounts.
- Ownership of VAT and withholding tax submissions.
- Ad hoc finance projects and analysis.
Who you are:
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Ideally you will have 5+ years of finance experience.
- Experience with SAP, BPC, and Looker is a plus.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Works well to tight deadlines.
