Your new company
This is a great opportunity for an experienced all round Accounts Manager to join a well established business that is working on some interesting projects globally. For over 25 years they have built a strong reputation and are continuing to do so in their market. Please note, this is a full-time office based role.

Your new role
A self-motivated and experienced accounts person is required to run the active accounting function. This is a busy company and is a serious opportunity for the right person looking to expand their knowledge and skills. It involves dealing with very high-end clients so the ability to interact with people at all levels is essential. The software they use is Sage 50 and experience of Sage would be preferable but not essential. You will be working closely with the freelance Finance Director that is in the business one day per week and the Managing Director, whilst managing one Accounts Clerk.

The main duties are:
* To ensure that all ledgers are properly maintained and up to date.
* To prepare and oversee the preparation of daily bank reconciliations.
* To prepare and, when authorised, submit quarterly VAT returns.
* To prepare cash flow forecasts for both the short and medium term.
* To ensure that all projects have been properly invoiced to the clients and report on project profitability.
* To deal with suppliers to ensure that we are getting the best terms.
* To review commission receipts from suppliers and that they are properly accounted for.
* To supervise an accounts clerk.
* To work with the Financial Director in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Payroll processing

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have significant experience in a similar role and be able to take accounts up to trial balance. Ideally you would have experience working for a growing SME. Experience using Sage would be an advantage but not essential. This role would suit someone who is seeking job satisfaction and not looking to progress their career further beyond this role.
No active finance studiers will be considered on this occasion. Qualified by experience, AAT qualified or PQ stop-studiers are only to be considered.

What you'll get in return
On offer is a salary between £40,000-£45,000 per annum plus benefits. This is a great opportunity to get involved in some interesting projects and gain additonal skills and experience.
