This exciting role gives a high level of focus to our in-year planning processes with a fantastic opportunity to add real value through the planning cycle. You will focus on working with the commercial and group finance teams to deliver monthly outlooks for the P&L and cash flow, formal reforecasts to the board, and senior support to the Senior Finance Manager through the annual budget process.
You will have stakeholders across Finance, both in Group and Commercial, and will have to work closely with the business to ensure that we deliver the FP&A that Ocado needs.

Accountabilities

  • Significant input and ownership of key tasks through the planning cycle.
  • Full ownership of the monthly outlook process across the P&L and cash flow, including reviewing our banking covenants, risks and opportunities, and providing relevant challenge to the business’ numbers
  • Development and ownership of the annual planning calendar, including how we will engage across the Group and with our external relationships (including our clients, banks and other external stakeholders)
  • You will work with the Senior Finance Manager and the Transformation teams to drive continuous improvement in our planning processes, including optimising our system usage
  • Develop and continually assess our key business drivers to provide comprehensive insight and advice to the Head of FP&A and CFO
  • Tracking and assisting in the delivery of budgeted savings plans. Reporting on forecast and actual savings, and ensuring that these are embedded into the outlook, forecasts and budgets
  • As relevant support the wider FP&A team in period end, data analysis, investor relations support, shareholder communication, budgets, forecasts and long-range planning.
  • You will be an SME in our financial planning systems and will seek to develop our use of Oracle EPM to deliver best-in-class in-year planning
  • You will act as the FP&A business partner to the broader finance team
  • Forecast metrics for KPIs, P&L and cash flow metrics
  • You need to be comfortable operating at all levels across finance. Accuracy and attention to detail are key to being successful in this role.

About you

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Finance based role, preferably with strong experience in commercial finance and FP&A
  • Working with and developing planning systems, preferably Oracle EPM
  • Experience in evolving, complex and challenging businesses
  • High levels of resilience and positivity
  • High EQ and excellent stakeholder management capabilities
  • Self-driven to both begin and complete projects
  • Willing to take a hands-on approach to solving business problems, never heard saying ‘that’s not my job’
