Role purpose

In this exciting, newly created role we’ll rely on you to provide operational support to the Finance and Treasury Team within treasury operations. The treasury operations team is responsible for all confirmation, settlement and payment activities relating to all treasury dealing activities. This role requires excellent organisational skills in order to work effectively to tight timescales whilst also ensuring the highest degree of accuracy. You will contribute to a culture which values data by processing data assets accurately, and in accordance our policy and procedures.


In this role you’ll find yourself…

  • Executing Treasury transaction confirmations in line with the mandated authority.
  • Ensuring all treasury payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Assisting in the daily cash management process.
  • Management and oversight of all trade confirmations, including dealer mandate checks.
  • Producing daily collateral margin call reports.
  • Assisting in the management and maintenance of the bank's Treasury Management System and preparation of journals to be posted,
  • Assist in the production internal reporting.
  • In conjunction with the Treasury / ALM Team, manage GBB Bank Accounts.
  • Learn and support Treasury operational daily tasks such as bank account reconciliations, cash allocations, Accounts Payable and Treasury Payments, electronic banking, cash positioning, cash pooling, cash flow forecasting, bank account signatories, reporting, and other ad hoc tasks


A bit about you – you are / have most of the following:

  • Demonstrable experience working in a Treasury back office function.
  • Knowledge of banking fundamentals e.g.payments, products etc.
  • Knowledge of treasury instruments and wider financial markets (or willingness to learn).
  • Systems experience in either Treasury Management System (TMS), Finance or payments systems.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of reconciliation processes.
  • Well-rounded Treasury knowledge (Balance sheet management, front office dealing, etc.).
  • Attention detail and the ability to work within tight timeframes.
  • A strong communicator: develops & maintains good working relationships with both internal colleagues and contacts in the wider market.
  • You’re driven by quality and pace and have a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • Proactive and positive – you build relationships by truly understanding what people need and by fulfilling your promises.
  • Strong analytical skills, which will mean you can extract meaningful data, convey it with clarity and make sure action is identified and taken.

What else do I need to know?


Location: You will predominately work from home but will be required to travel to our offices when your role requires this.

Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week
