Our client is a leading company based in Birmingham, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Reconcile balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and other financial documents.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial information is accurate.
- Oversee audits and work closely with external auditors.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes.
- Stay up to date with financial regulations and ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a financial accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
