MSX International has a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to lead a team of five staff, the UK Controller will have operational responsibility for the UK Finance Department, reporting into the Value Stream Finance Director (Brazil) with a dotted line report to the Group Financial Controller (UK).

The Role

As our new Financial Controller, you will partner with UK Project Delivery Managers to ensure the accurate reporting of the UK Company's profit and loss.

The Financial Controller will support the budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the UK and Ireland Business.

The Financial Controller will:

  • Manage the annual external audit process to ensure group and statutory financial reporting is completed within the required timetable - working with the Group Finance team and branch Finance teams in Dubai and Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark).
  • Manage the monthly and annual accounting close and reporting cycle.
  • Ensure the balance sheet of the UK Company is effectively controlled.
  • Design, implementation and monitoring of financial controls (internal controls) and systems to improve efficiency.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the finance team in order to deliver an effective service and efficient service.
About you

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified accountant with broad financial and management accounting and reporting experience with significant post qualification experience in industry.

  • have experience managing a team and developing staff.
  • have demonstrable experience of driving efficiency and process improvement.
  • have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to partner with the operational business.
  • be an effective communicator and have strong organisational skills to influence stakeholders to achieve objectives, ensuring technical accuracy.
