Family owned SME, highly profitable with a strong balance sheet - in the FMCG/food manufacturing sector - the business are long established with a global reputation for what they produce.
With a comprehensive site in Telford the business are looking for a Financial Controller to perform an all round role, where they add value to financial and management accounting processes, as well as tax work and audit management.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through financial and management accounting, financial statements, and corporation tax work. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day company accounts and transactional team
- Assist with financial planning
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance in all tasks
- Management of transactional accounting staff
Qualifications
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification and 5+ years experience in the area within manufacturing
- Proficiency with current financial software
- Understanding of accounting and audit management
