We are currently seeking a high calibre financial professional to support the transformation agenda whilst overseeing the best practice in the finance team and supporting the wider PayPoint Executive team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of the effective and efficient monthly reporting process for the L2s division to the wider Group
  • Analyse and interpret the monthly management accounts, ensuring a full understanding of the plan to provide an analysis of the underlying trends in the business, providing clear opportunities and risks analysis to influence the wider business.
  • Challenge the current ways of working ensuring processes are streamlined where possible, systems are used to the best of their capability and identify improvements to support the wider business.
  • Produce and maintain appropriate financial controls including monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for the L2s entities with support from the wider L2s Finance Control team while ensuring these are reviewed and any appropriate action is taken.
  • Support in the production in the annual statutory accounts and tax computations for the L2s entities.
  • Key audit stakeholder management ensuring the annual and interim audit run smoothly, being a key point of contact with our auditors and allocating queries appropriately throughout the business.
  • Support the Head of Accounts, providing coaching and development to team members to ensure they can progress to more senior positions in finance and provide business support and ensure support is given to their team members.
  • Other ad hoc projects as and when required assisting finance and other departments, including regulatory financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Qualified Accountant with a recognised qualification and at least 5 years post qualified experience - ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel especially in the use of spreadsheets.
  • Experience of presenting data in a clear and precise manner to both financial and non-financial employees;

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of MS Business Central / NAV / Workday
