Salary: £70,000-£75,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

CitySprint have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to support the Head of Finance in the day-to-day processes that support the production of the financial statements and reports.You will manage and lead a team of other qualified/part qualified accountants and support them with their individual and team objectives.

To be a successful Finance Controller you will be responsible for supporting Head of Finance and the wider finance team achieve its objectives by managing financial information, whilst managing and monitoring budgets to ensure efficient and robust financial and control systems.

The main responsibilities within the Financial Controller role are:

• Manage the timely preparation of monthly and weekly financial reporting and group reporting including timely submission to the parent company.
• Supporting the preparation of the Group's consolidated statutory accounts ensuring reports comply with policies and FRS 102 and IFRS requirements
• Manage the timely preparation of budgets, forecasts and management information.
• Manage auditor requests for information within the finance team and ensure timely completion of audit requests.
• You will lead the management and submission of all CitySprint Group reporting and ensure accurate and timely submissions for Business Financial Consolidation (BFC).

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Detail orientated, focused on quality of reporting.
• Proven proficiency of creating, analysing, and interpreting financial information.
• Good cross functional knowledge to understand businesses financial objectives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Pro-actively reviews, monitors and challenges processes and ways of working to ensure best practice and streamline processes to maximise efficiency.
• CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualified with strong technical knowledge.
• Technical skills and knowledge of accounting and reporting processes, working knowledge of tax and VAT.
• Strong attention to detail and diligence
