Job Description
This is a newly created role where the individual will need to;
- To establish a sound business operating model within the Finance function and key financial controls to ensure the effective, accurate and timely production of financial information and safekeeping of assets.
- To lead, develop and motivate a small team.
- Ensure all statutory reporting requirements are met for separate legal entities operating within the Bank
- Liaise with and cultivate strong working relationships with senior management, ensuring inclusion in all necessary forums and updates to enable the Statutory Finance functions to remain abreast of Group policies and interpretations of accounting developments (IFRS) as and when they occur.
- Provide regulatory information required for inclusion in regulatory reports for CFO review and presentation
- Act as a key contact point for both internal and external regulatory auditors and ensure that any audit issues are resolved during the
- Maintain and update the annual reporting diary and month-end reporting schedules.
- Liaise with in-country tax specialist to ensure appropriate corporate tax reporting in consolidated results.
- Collation of tax pack data, for completion and submission of tax return
- Prepare and submit the PSA return with oversight from group tax team
- Preparation and submission of VAT and Calculate corporation tax payments to HMRC
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, ideally ACA or CA qualified, and have experience of working in a financial control role in a Capital markets focused bank
