About the role
We're currently searching for a Finance Directorto join our Finance team, comprised of 12 dedicated individuals. This role holds immense significance for our business, as you'll be the go-to person for our CFO, overseeing all financial operations for accuracy and compliance, leading strategic financial planning and analysis, driving process improvements for efficiency, collaborating with the CFO on strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration within the finance department through hands-on leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including financial forecasting, budgets and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead strategic financial planning, analysis and decision support to the Executive Team.
- Manage the finance department providing leadership, direction, guidance, support. Fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Partner with the CFO to navigate the organization through upcoming strategic changes and growth initiatives.
- Drive improvements in processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of financial systems and operations.
- Exemplify hands on leadership through active involvement in daily operations, setting a precedent through personal conduct and business partnering to attain shared company objectives.
- Partner with the CFO on any fund raising, ensuring lender reporting is timely and accurate.
ou will ideally need the following:
- Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a minimum of5 years post qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a track record of successfully leading teams and driving results.
- Thorough understanding of UK GAAP accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organisation.
