The Opportunity:

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our finance team at our Bristol HQ. This is a permanent full-time role and offers the benefits of flexible hybrid working. Typically, this would require 1-2 days in our Bristol office per week with a choice of working from home on the other days (following an initial induction period).

Reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager you will be responsible for supporting Financial Planning & Analysis activity within the finance team and wider organisation. This role has broad range of responsibilities due to a relatively small team size, these areas include:

  • Financial Budgets: support the annual budget process to achieve robust budgets for departmental teams, with clarity of cost drivers and assumptions,
  • Financial Management: provide supportive yet challenging business partnering to cost, income, capital and liquidity budget owners throughout the year, operating a ‘no surprises’ approach to financial performance,
  • Financial Planning: involvement in regular updates of financial forecasts including their planning and delivery,
  • Financial Analysis: identify, perform analysis and present on areas of interest across income streams and cost drivers,
  • Cost to Acquire / Cost to Serve: update the product profitability model (excel based) for quarterly data runs and optimise the use of the management information to support business decision making,
  • Stress Testing: support the Treasury team with the delivery of stress testing scenarios as required.

In addition, key responsibilities will require you to:

  • Support the planning, budgeting and forecasting process, to include balance sheet, profitability, capital and liquidity, by working in collaboration with the Financial Control and Treasury team,
  • Provide challenge to business performance including variance analysis to budget and forecast,
  • Effective business partnering including development of relationships with Group colleagues based in the Netherlands to help manage group expectations and respond to requests,
  • Support the FP&A manager in tracking and reporting on progress against financial and non-financial deliverables,
  • Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour which delivers fair outcomes for TBUK customers.

What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role you will have relevant experience of financial planning and analysis, preferably gained within in a financial service, regulated environment. An ability to understand and refine complex financial models, and to understand the mathematical principles behind them, is important for this opportunity.

Possessing good organisational skills, you will have the ability to work to tight deadlines combined with the interact with many levels of the business in the UK and NL with credibility and friendly professionalism. An appropriate accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or working towards would be highly desired for this role .

Offer

In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a salary of between £32,867 - £40,712 Full Time Equivalent salary depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
