Salary: £58,000 - £68,000

Role clearance type : You must be able to gain and maintain UK Government clearance.

Location: Cheltenham or New Malden

About Your Opportunity:

The FPA Manager operates a small team focused on consolidating NSS financials.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Direct functional line management responsibilities for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team - including tasks such as (but not limited to) career development, talent management, performance management, resource and leave management.

  • Assist the financial planning activity for NSS, working with the leadership, programme, BD and business management teams to build a coherent plan throughout the AOP cycles.

  • Oversee the development and active management of budgets that are required to deliver the AOP and the creation, tracking and maintenance of associated recovery rates.

  • Provide and present consolidated financial reporting of performance against the financial plan and the P&L at the UK Programmes level working with the Financial Planning & Controlling teams to report cash and balance sheet position.

  • Provide other managers and leaders with financial education and awareness

  • Seek to continually review Business Management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintain and update the NG Principles and Operating Practices for cost accounting guidance.

Your Experience:

  • Professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a fast-paced project environment

  • Leading and growing individuals into highly-effective teams

  • Experience of working with SAP S4 Hana or equivalent financial management system

  • Strong financial analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
