Our core purpose is to Redefine Packaging for a Changing World, and our expert teams work closely with like-minded partners to incorporate renewable resources for products that minimize our environmental impact, reduce complexity, and increase profitability through supply chain optimization.About the roleWe have a fabulous opportunity for an individual to join the North Europe Packaging team as a Financial Planning & Controls Manager.This is an 18-month Fixed Term Contract.As our Financial Planning & Controls Manager, you will be a key member of the Regional Finance team, making a significant contribution to the co-ordination of the financial planning, governance, and management reporting processes across the North Europe Region, and to Divisional and Group teams. Working closely with senior stakeholders in the regions, you will be managing month end, half year and full year end reporting processes, ensuring clear and consistent analysis to be delivered to the Regional Management team, Division and Group.From a planning perspective, you will be manage the delivery and continuous improvement of DS Smith’s financial planning cycle, both long and short term, and support decision making by providing analysis on actual performance and potential future trends. You will work closely with senior members of our Regional, Group and Divisional Finance functions to ensure alignment within the matrix organisation.We want you to deliver insightful analysis on business performance and you will be expected to develop a strong understanding of the internal factors and external variables that impact the Region’s performance. You should be comfortable querying the status quo, identifying and implementing improvements to the way we work. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a confident relationship builder, working with a variety of stakeholders in the business, to both ensure compliance with all control requirements and add value beyond the day-day requirements of your role.If you are an experienced financial professional, looking to branch out into a broader finance role or an existing FP&A Manager looking for a new challenge – then we might be looking for you.
