Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Financial Services Commercial Solicitor to join their team. The successful candidate can expect to be working for household brand names and owner managed businesses alike on a wide range of general commercial matters across a variety of industry sectors. You will also be responsible for developing and growing the firm's current financial services offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a broad spectrum of financial services matters, particularly in the wealth management, IFA and funds sectors
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including distribution agreements, supplier agreements, and outsourcing agreements
- Advising on regulatory issues in the financial services sector, including compliance with FCA rules and regulations
- Conducting due diligence and drafting transactional documents for mergers and acquisitions in the financial services sector
- Developing and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to business development initiatives
- Qualified Solicitor (5+qpe) with a strong background in financial services law
- Sound, well-rounded knowledge of financial services law, with demonstrable experience advising on a broad spectrum of financial services matters, particularly in the wealth management, IFA and funds sectors
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of advising on commercial contracts and general commercial issues
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality work to clients
