CNC trainee Machinist – Fire doors & frames.

Job Title:  Trainee CNC Machinist 

Location: Belvedere

Salary: 26k to 30k depending on experience

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time. PAYE

21 days leave + bank holidays

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team as a Trainee CNC Operator, responsible for setting and operating one of our Biesse Rover A 5 axis CNC machines producing fire doors and frames.

Main Responsibilities

• Learn to work within the machining department, efficiently managing CNC machines, day to day training will be given as a base start, then off site training from Biesse will be given, once a certain level has been obtained if required.
• Minimise machine setup time and report equipment malfunctions to reduce downtime.
• Learn to do daily and weekly maintenance as per machine specifications.
• Keep the areas and machines clean and tidy.
• Learn to run other basic machines like the wall saw and edgbander to help with the cutting sheets and learn the basic requirements of production.

Hours: 40 per week   7.00 till 4.00

Qualifications/Experience

• A relevant machining qualification or at least 1 year working a 3 axis cnc.
• Or 2 to 3 years 
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage oneself and workload efficiently.
• Systematic approach to problem-solving.
