Role: Fire Safety Consultant

Artec Fire:

Role Description:

This role is national, and the applicant may be located anywhere within the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding fire safety consultancy division. As a Fire Safety Consultant, you will play a vital role in improving fire safety within the built environment and supporting the technical delivery of our services. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Fire Risk Assessments
  • Assisting with Construction Stage Fire Safety Site Audits
  • Conducting Compartmentation Surveys
  • Conducting Fire Door Surveys
  • Conducting External Wall Surveys in support of PAS 9980 assessments

(If you do not have experience in all the above areas, additional training will be given to the right candidate to support you in personal development)

Skills: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Membership of IFE / IFSM or equivalent .
  • Minimum Level 3 fire safety/fire risk assessment qualification.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Fire Risk Assessment with the ability to conduct these independently.
  • Knowledge of current and upcoming fire safety legislation and guidance in the UK.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Ability to manage time and workload independently.
  • Ability to engage with clients and present your observations and recommendations in a confident and clear manner.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

These are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role.

Desirable attributes:

  • Fire risk assessment qualification/accreditation (e.g., IFE, IFSM Tier 2 Risk Assessor Register or equivalent).

Note: If this not currently held at the time of application, it is expected that you have the prerequisite skills and experience to achieve this within 3 months of employment.

This role is part of a growing national team and, therefore, there may be a need for regular overnight stays to attend sites.
