Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice with Genmar IT in Bishops Stortford Herts. Excellent opportunity for you to join this support help desk team and work in a varied and busy professional environment.

Job Description:

As an apprentice at Genmar, you be part of a busy and experienced IT support desk. The role offers variety across the IT support and different technologies, both software and hardware.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • You will be working alongside the team of currently, 9 support staff.
  • Taking support tickets from customers, communising with the users, listening, and resolving their issues by remote access via their RMM and tracking system.
  • Work on special projects, investigating new technology and services.
  • Collaborating with other team members and individually.
  • They encourage staff to further their certifications by mentoring and paying fees. The team work closely together providing a great working environment.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to think on your feet and solve any complex issues with empathy.
  • Desire to gain further industry recognised qualifications (With assistance from Genmar).

Personal qualities:

  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • Team working
  • Ability to learn programmes and use them efficiently.
  • Eagerness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Strong interest in tech and computers
