Forecasting Data Scientist
Up to £80,000 + Equity
London office 2-3 days per week.
OVERVIEW:
Small-scale start-up in the retail insights space are hiring for a Data Scientist with a focus on time series forecasting! There are more senior Data Scientists to learn from however this is their first full-time permanent hire into the team, you will be spearheading the Machine Learning & Data Science work focused on forecasting demand of stock. Your responsibilities as a Data Scientist will include but not be limited to:
- Leverage demand forecasting/ time series forecasting ML techniques for the Data Science modelling.
- Work directly on the core product of the business and spearhead the Data Science efforts, engaging with other team members.
- Engage & communicate effectively with internal business stakeholders, in a small-scale start-up where you’ll contribute to the product discussions!
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
A successful Forecasting Data Scientist will have the following:
- Proven experience in demand forecasting/ time series forecasting (ideally in the retail space)
- Solid technical ability in Python & SQL
- Min. 2 (preferably 3-4) years’ experience as a Data Scientist using forecasting ML techniques.
