We are looking to recruit a Fostering Family Support Worker for our Specialist Foster Care Scheme. The Specialist Carer Scheme is the provision of wraparound support to foster families for children with complex needs across the borough.The role of Fostering Family Support Worker will require you to provide a high-quality family support service to families on the Specialist Scheme and deliver relevant interventions in order to ensure that immediate and ongoing needs are met. The role will also aim to aid foster families and prevent fragile foster homes to improve the welfare and life experiences of children, young people, and their carers. You will advocate for fostering families, working in partnership with them and other agencies to ensure the best possible outcome is reached.The vacancy is for a full time Fostering Family Support Worker on the Specialist Foster Care SchemeGrade - SCP - : £, - £,The post requires a BTEC, NVQ Level or equivalent in Child Care, experience of case management, extensive knowledge of the barriers faced by young people who have experienced high levels of trauma, and experience of working with vulnerable children.The post holder will: be able to work across the Cheshire West and Chester Borough and beyondmust demonstrate experience and a good understanding of working directly with children and families.
