Responsibilities as our Lecturer (Foundation) will include:Contributing to the development and delivery of a range of educational programmes including identifying learning objectives; determining, designing and producing study material; planning course/study programme delivery.Contributing to high quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods in the classroom.Ensuring that teaching is based on current best available practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.Providing academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.Creating an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment.Managing student issues within agreed protocols.Undertaking such other reasonable duties as the line manager may require from time to time and review this Job Description annually with the line manager.Participating in the Colleges appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate As our Lecturer (Foundation), youll ideally have: Level 2 qualification as a minimumEnglish and Maths (or equivalent)Qualified TeacherProven track record of success in supporting young people.Experience of working with young people with social emotional and mental health differences.Work experience in an FE setting i.e., college or schoolCompetent in Microsoft Office applicationsSupportive and positive approach to students Benefits you will receive: As a member of the teaching team at Bournemouth & Poole College you can expect to receive a market rate salary and excellent benefits including: 39.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff)up to 4 days leave during the Christmas closure periodFree parking at all of our college sites (where spaces are available)Access to Discount Schemes at multiple retailersEnrolment into the Teachers' Pension SchemeExcellent support and career development with the help of our Teaching and Learning Coaches and Quality department
